Award-Winning Maryland Attorney Rick Jaklitsch

Maryland born and raised, Rick Jaklitsch attended high school at Calvert Hall College in Towson. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Maryland (UM) at College Park and a Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Maryland School of Law in Baltimore. After serving as house counsel for Allstate Insurance and practicing as part of private firms in both Greenbelt and Upper Marlboro, Rick Jaklitsch established his own nationally acclaimed law group in 1999.

In addition to his continuing work with this law group, Rick Jaklitsch has supported numerous outreach initiatives including being honored by the "Make a Wish" Foundation with its "Star Award". Rick has coached youth baseball for years, supported the Boys Scouts of America, sponsored many local youth teams and been a long time mentor to young lawyers and law students. He has provided legal assistance to numerous athletes, students and coaches at his beloved University of Maryland and served many years on the Terrapin Club Board of Directors and as its President. Outside of his professional and philanthropic arenas, Mr. Jaklitsch is an avid boating enthusiast and an impassioned fan of UM Terrapin athletics.
